How to get a Fire Cape in OSRS (and what it costs to just buy one)
The Fight Caves explained, realistic requirements, and what a Fire Cape carry actually costs in 2026.
The Fire Cape is the rite of passage cape from the Fight Caves: 63 waves culminating in TzTok-Jad, the boss that taught a generation of players to prayer-flick. It’s a real account milestone and a hard requirement for the Infernal Cape later. Here’s how to earn it, and what it costs if you’d rather just have it handled.
Requirements (the honest version)
You can do the caves at surprisingly low stats, but comfort matters. A common setup is 70+ Ranged, 43+ Prayer (for Protect from Missiles), decent gear (a blowpipe or even a crossbow), and anti-venom plus brews. The real skill check is Jad: he switches between Mage and Range attacks, and you flick the correct overhead prayer on his animation. Miss a flick and a single hit can end the run.
Doing it yourself
Watch a current Jad-flicking guide, practice the prayer switches, and bring enough food to survive the healers phase. Expect your first few attempts to fail at Jad. That’s normal. Budget an hour-plus per full run.
Or buy a carry
A Fire Cape carry from SherpaGrinders is $60, with the ETA quoted in your ticket before you pay. A player who knows Jad cold runs it on your account under locked-down access (no gear handoff, short access waiver), and you’re back to playing. We never promise “unbannable”, but standard, careful delivery is the whole job.
